Azkar gave Weir his second Warrnambool Cup on Thursday and in doing so secured the Ballarat trainer the Warrnambool May Racing Carnival trainers' bonus - a Mercedes Benz.
The Cup was his last chance to secure the bonus, which is offered to any trainer who can win four races over the three days, including one of the major four feature events.
Gotta Take Care won one of the big four, the Galleywood Hurdle, on Wednesday, but the race did not meet the criteria of having sufficient starters.
Jockey Brad Rawiller put the race away at the top of the straight, kicking away on Azkar ($3 favourite) to score by six lengths.
Westsouthwest ($14) finished second for Robert Smerdon, with Shoreham ($21) third ahead of Weir's other runner Shiny Buttons.
Akzar gave Weir his seventh win for the carnival and completed a double for the day.
He also won with Stratumsphere ($5.50) in a benchmark78 handicap, 1100m.
Akzar is based at Weir's Warrnambool satellite stable, with him declaring life on the beach was the key to Akzar.
