POLICE are calling for witnesses to an accident which left one person seriously injured on Sunday night.

The incident occurred nearly three kilometres south of Elaine with a silver Holden Commodore sedan carrying two people and an agricultural seeder colliding.
Ballarat Highway Patrol Senior Constable Ben Hay said the incident occurred just after 6.30pm with the vehicles travelling north on the Midland Highway.
The seeder was being towed by a truck.
Senior Constable Hay said police were calling for anyone who may have seen either of the vehicles before the accident or witnessed the incident.
A man in his 70s was transported to Ballarat Base Hospital in a stable condition and the road was blocked for a short time.
Country Fire Authority crews also attended the incident.
