The GMHBA Miners snatched the lead with 22 seconds to full-time and nailed a three-point South East Australian Basketball League win on Friday night.
Anthony Fisher, Roy Booker and Ken Horton played starring roles to wrestle the win from the Chargers.
Fisher levelled the Chargers with one minute, 36 seconds to play, Charger Deba George replied from beyond the arc, Booker answered back and Horton put the Miners one point up after George converted two shots from the free throw line.
Horton continued his stellar form with an impressive double-double (18 points, 14 rebounds), proving tough to beat on the boards.
Booker notched up 24 points, including two trademark three-pointers in the final quarter, while point guard Anthony Fisher was sensational with 20 points, nailing five of his six three-point attempts.
Miners captain Liam Gibcus was steady with 13 points.
The Miners make the trek to Ulverstone to face North-West Tasmania on Saturday.
