POLICE
Ballarat police reported a mostly quiet night with nothing to report.
However, in Melbourne a pedestrian has died after being struck by a car near Ardeer early Wednesday evening..
Police were told the pedestrian, a man aged in his 50s, was crossing Ballarat Road when he was struck by a passing car just before 7.30pm.
The man died at the scene.
The driver of the car, who was not injured, stopped at the scene.
The changes involve some of the city's busiest streets including Creswick Road, Gillies Street and Albert Street.

Fire crews experienced a quiet night with nothing of interest to report.

No major call-outs for local paramedics.
TRAINS
Trains seem to be running smoothly so far this morning, however, V/Line is reporting the 8:16 Bacchus Marsh to Southern Cross service will operate at a reduced capacity with a road coach assisting from Melton.
ON THE AGENDA
Today we will be heading out to Little Bendigo Primary School who are celebrating Education Week. Students will dress up as scientists for the day with the best dressed to win a prize.
