The top of the table clash will take place at White Flat Oval on Sunday, May 25, at 1.30pm.
It’s been a remarkable turn around by the Falcons, who failed to record a single victory in their inaugural 2013 season.
New coach Mark Kuntsi took over the reins at the start of the year and has since worked wonders with the team.
Kuntsi, originally from Canada, first made contact with the Falcons by writing them an offensive playbook.
His tactics impressed club officials to the extent that they threw him the top gig just weeks before the start of the new season.
Kuntsi says this weekend has the potential to entrench American Football on Ballarat’s radar.
“This Sunday is one of our best opportunities to get people involved in gridiron,” he said.
“It’s a great game – I like to think of it as a savage game of chess.
“It’s been a good start (to the season) but this weekend is going to be a really big test.”
Ballarat and Gippsland are the two standout teams after the first three rounds of competition.
The Gladiators will be keen to exact revenge on the league leaders after suffering a two-point loss to them in the first round.
Falcons recruits Andrew Hall (offensive lineman) and Pete McKay (running back) have the potential to break the game wide open but the side will be without the influence of wide receiver Duncan McIntosh, who will miss four weeks with a broken fibula.
