11 players from the 1954 College football team caught up at the school on Saturday night to mark 60 years since winning their first Ballarat school's football premiership.
Significantly, the team ended a St Patrick's College winning streak, who had won every premiership for 49 straight years.
Present at the school on Staurday night was all the surviving team members and their families.
Ballarat Clarendon College's Ross Henderson said four of the players eventually went on to play professional football in both the VFL and AFL.
"For example that great team included John Birt who went on to play 193 games for Essendon," Mr Henderson said.
"Also there was David Shaw, another Essendon player who was also president of the club for some years."
Mr Henderson said the players caught up every year and had remained close since their schooling.
"It's always a special catch up for them and this year was even more so being the 60 years," he said.
"It really was something to stop St Pat's from claiming their 50th straight premiership."
Also in attendance on Saturday night were the leadership group from the St Patrick's side, as well as current coaches from College.
