D-day for Ballarat miners star Roy Booker

Ballarat Miners are today expected to learn if their star American import Roy Booker will miss the rest of the season with an Achilles injury.

Booker sustained the injury in Ballarat's heartbreaking overtime loss to Geelong Supercats on Saturday night, with Booker to undergo an MRI scan in Melbourne.

Meanwhile, in Ballarat District Soccer Association action yesterday, Warrnambool inflicted Ballarat's first defeat of the open men's division.

Ballarat had won its first 11 games of the season and was eyeing off an undefeated season, only to go down to the coastal side 1-0 on Sunday.
