Sara Kittelty on Saturday held her first Chinese cuisine themed pop-up restaurant at the Beaufort RSL for about 30 people.
Kittelty’s, formerly known as Stock, Pot and Ladle, has already planned a handful of other themed food nights, with winter delights on the next dinner menu.
“There is no Asian food in Beaufort,” Ms Kittelty said.
“It’s massive in Melbourne and I wanted Beaufort to get a fix.”
Ms Kittelty and her husband Jon Young have already served up several cuisine-themed pop-up dinner parties in the Pyrenees Shire and has plans to venture into Ballarat.
“We have had Japanese, Vietnamese, Swedish and a Bollywood themed nights,” she said
“We also held a ‘relish your region’ event, which included produce found within 100 kilometres of Beaufort.”
Mr Young said they also hoped to host a dinner party with food sourced within 100 metres of their property.
The dinners have attracted families, friends and couples.
Ms Kittelty, who is a teacher by trade, said she had always been passionate about cooking.
“I get as much enjoyment out of this as the people get out of the dinner,” she said.
The pair are planning to expand their dinner parties to Avoca, Moonambel and Ballarat.
Kittelty’s will host Mid Winter Feast on June 28 and the Moroccan Dinner Party on July 6.
