Tejon ($3.40 favourite) made it two wins in a row on the track in a fillies’ and mares’ benchmark64, 2000m, on Tuesday.
The four-year-old mare had previously won in similar company at Geelong on June 20.
The win gives her five lifetime victories from 34 starts and takes her earnings past $100,000.
BALLARAT Turf Club was originally to have raced today.
This was one of several race days transferred to give the newly upgraded racing surface at Sportsbet-Ballarat a lighter workload for the winter. The meeting is now at Cranbourne.
Racing is scheduled to return to Ballarat on Wednesday, July 30.
ALLWEVNEED had a winning introduction to claiming company at Stawell trots on Monday.
The Pass The Mustard eight-year-old swooped from near the back of the field to get the money for Ballarat trainer Kelvin Barker. For Allwevneed ($9.60), it ended a drought.
The gelding had not won since April, 2012, which in turn had been his only taste of success since October, 2011.
The Stawell win, his 15th, takes him to within striking distance of $100,000 in stakes.
LOTSA Life ($1.50 favourite) made it five wins for the season in a C2-C3 pace, 2175m, at Stawell harness races.
Trained by Basil Dooley at Allendale, Lotsa Life led and held on for career win number seven.
This gave Dooley two wins inside a week, following on from Street Wise ($3 favourite) in a C0 pace, 1720, at Melton on Thursday
MISS Metro Glen ($1.90 favourite) added to an already prolific winning record for her maternal line by saluting in a 4yo/older pace, 1609m, at Cranbourne on Saturday.
With the Daylesford stable of Michael Barby, the win was the four-year-old’s first in 11 starts.
Miss Metro Glen is by Metropolitan and the only foal out of Village Glen (10 wins), which was one of four winners out of Miss Glenny.
