Jarrod Edwards to front tribunal

North Ballarat City's Jarrod Edwards could face a stint on the sidelines after being reported for head-high contact against Ballarat on Sunday.

Edwards was issued a yellow card, reported on the spot and sent from the ground in the second quarter of the Ballarat Football League round 13 game after colliding with Ballarat’s James Meade.

The incident led to a minor scuffle between the two sides, as Swans players remonstrated with Edwards.

Meade took about 20 seconds to get up after being hit by Edwards, although he recovered to take the free kick that he had been rewarded.

Edwards will face the Goldfields Region Independent Tribunal on Tuesday night.

If he was to be suspended, Edwards would miss this week’s clash against his former side Redan, the club which he helped steer towards four BFL premierships.

The four-time Henderson Medallist has played just six matches this year.
