Powell and his charges suffered a 46-point defeat to the Tigers in the round 16 clash, but get the chance to overturn the result when it really counts this weekend.
"We didn't really put too many tags in place that day," Powell said. "It was good to see where we can improve and make the changes, hopefully."
Despite plenty of doubts surrounding his fitness, Powell said talented young defender Jacob Werts was a better than 50-50 chance to overcome a calf injury and take his place in the side on Sunday, while important forwards John Basham and Pat McGuigan are key players certain to return.
Springbank remains a feared premiership threat by many opposition teams in the top eight and greets this clash on the back of a big win over Rokewood-Corindhap last weekend.
GJ Gardner Tigers coach Sam Giblett told The Courier that onballer Xavier Bourke, ruckman Steve Kane, forward Hugh Millikan and defender Simon Quinlan would be the four inclusions into the side this weekend.
"The belief is there, (but) they have got to put that into actions now and show everyone we are a good side and there is hope for Springbank," Giblett said.
PREDICTION: Springbank by five goals.
