Western Croquet Club senior member Hilda Crowe will official launch proceedings at 1.15pm.
Crowe has played croquet for more than 37 years, and spent much of her time as a BDCA treasurer and referee alongside other executive roles.
Both golf and association formats will be undertaken, with play starting at 10.30am and 1.30pm.
The pennant season will swing off with the opening round of golf doubles on September 9, while association doubles will start on September 11.
The open golf croquet tournament will be held on October 25-26, with the BDCA opening its arms to all players from around the state.
Meanwhile, the Western and Alexandra clubs will have open days during seniors week.
Those interested can play free of charge, but flat-soled shoes must be worn.
The Victorian Croquet Association held its centenary earlier this year, and the Ballarat region will celebrate the milestone with a trip to the Cairnlea Centre on November 26.
Past members looking to join can contact Gwen on 5339 2443.
Meanwhile, many Ballarat croquet players have travelled to the Cairnlea headquarters to mark the official opening of the 2014-15 season.
