The league benchmark will play a rampant Warrnambool outfit in the Ballarat District Soccer Association men's final at Morshead Park on Saturday.
Ballarat might have finished the home and away season on top of the ladder, but coach Tony Clayworth and his side have a big task in front of them if they want to overthrow an opponent that has won its last 14 outings.
"It's going to be extremely close," Clayworth said.
"I think there will be a one goal difference."
Ballarat is coming off a 9-1 thrashing of Vic Park in last week's qualifying final, with Michael Lockyer scoring six goals.
Lockyer and attacking midfielder Luke Swards were absent during the semi-final loss to Warrnambool, and Clayworth is counting on them to make a difference this time around.
"They're huge ins. We're at full strength and we've got a bit of depth on the bench as well," he said.
"We were actually pretty happy with the way we played against Warrnambool in the semis."
Warrnambool coach Nick Van Rooy said his side would mark Lockyer and his support heavily.
"He wasn't actually marked (in the preliminary final)," Van Rooy said.
"Vic Park didn't pay their strikers respect and paid for it."
Van Rooy said starting XI players Eli and Isaac Slater will need to prove their fitness in Friday night's training session before they were deemed ready to play.
Eli is recovering from internal bleeding surrounding his lungs in a heavy preliminary final contest, while Isaac is suffering from an ankle niggle.
Warrnambool has defeated Ballarat in the past three encounters.
"We've had a proper team in these last three times and we're coming home strongly again," Van Rooy said.
