The Department of Environment and Primary Industries has issued advice on planned burns today in the Daylesford, Macedon, Blackwood, Greendale and Trentham areas.

A new 195 hectare burn today is beginning 4km west of Daylesford, while existing burns are continuing at;
- Blackwood – Golden Point, 1km north east of Blackwood
- Macedon – Mulcahy Road, 5 km south west of Macedon
- Greendale - Whiskey Track: 3kms south east of Blakeville
- Greendale – Pipe Track: 5kms north east of Greendale
- Macedon – Ash Wednesday regrowth, 9kms south west of Macedon
- Trentham – Flume Track, 799 hectares, 8kms west of Trentham
Smoke may be visible over coming days in the following locations as well as from surrounding areas: Daylesford, Hepburn, Eganstown, Sailors Hill, Sailors Falls, Musk Vale, Lal Lal, Golden Point, Blackwood, North Blackwood, Barrys Reef, Lerderderg, Dales Creek, Newbury, Trentham, Gisborne, Bullengarook, Ashbourne, Mt Macedon, Macedon, Greendale, Blakeville, Mollonghip, Rocklyn, Barkstead, Bullarto, Bullarto South, Musk, Lyonville, Little Hampton and Leonards Hill,
Smoke may also affect the following roads: Midland Highway near Cemetery Rd, Bacchus Marsh-Gisborne Rd, Finger Post Rd, Burnt Mill Rd, Waterloo Flat Rd, Mt Blackwood Rd, Mt Barker Rd, Binks Rd, Barkstead Rd, McPhans Rd, Osborne Rd, Daylesford-Trentham Rd, Babbington Hill Rd, local forest roads and tracks, and local roads around the burn area.
Access to walking tracks, car parks, camping grounds and picnic sites in areas close to or in burn areas may be restricted.
