A ferris wheel will operate at the Sturt Street end of the Bridge Mall from 10am until 5pm daily from December 6 to 24.
Meanwhile, Rudolph and his mates will fly into Ballarat’s central business district on Friday.
Mayor John Philips will unveil the popular floral reindeers in Sturt Street at midday.
Located in the 300 block opposite Myer, the reindeers will be joined by the city’s Christmas tree adorned with decorations and new lighting effects.
The 400 block of Sturt Street will feature rotunda decorations and a giant bauble display.
Also, the giant stars are back, located at the Bridge Mall end of Sturt Street, and there will be Christmas ribbon around the Burke and Wills fountain in the 200 block and a Christmas tree at Bakery Hill.
New additions are floral Santa boots, floral stars and floral trees in the 200 block outside the Ballarat Town Hall.
Other Christmas-themed projects will feature on the town hall.
A Christmas party will also be held on December 6, between 10am and 2pm, in the Bridge Mall, with family entertainment and activities including biscuit decorating, craft activities, face painting and street art.
Children are en-
couraged to dress up in their favourite festive outfits, while choirs, food tastings, roaming entertainers and bands will continue throughout December in the CBD.
