Clubs will play 14 home-and-away matches and have two scheduled byes in the most notable change to the junior format under the BFNL’s proposed draft draw.
BFNL operations manager Aaron Nunn said the move was made after calls from junior clubs to factor in more breaks to prevent “burn out” for all involved.
The draft fixture also features blanket competition breaks for the Queen’s Birthday weekend, and one weekend of the July school holidays.
A new interleague carnival against the Riddell District is scheduled for May 16 and the traditional Goldfields Trophy against Bendigo will return to Ballarat on June 13.
