The five-piece will perform at Karova Lounge on May 16 in support of the re-release of their hit album The Goodbye Girl on vinyl.
"We had been talking about it in the last few months," Epicure front man Juan Alban said.
"Then we were approached by Heart of the Rat Records, so the timing was perfect.
"We thought why not do a couple of shows for fun as well."
While they only return for one show in Ballarat, Alban promises it will be just as lively as their sold out shows before the band called it quits in 2010.
"It should be a fun night," he said.
"We will be playing most of the songs from The Goodbye Girl with six or seven other songs as well."
To coincide with their performance on Saturday night, the band is holding an exhibition of original album artworks created by bass player Tim Bignell.
The Art of Epicure exhibition will be on display at The Lost Ones Gallery in Camp Street on Friday, May 15 and Saturday, May 16.
"It's a celebration of Tim's artwork, he is an amazing artist who has never exhibited his art before," Alban said.
"So if people want to come along to the exhibition before the gig they can."
