Bungaree remains undefeated after grinding out a convincing 26-point victory over Springbank. The Demons
never quite broke the game open but controlled much of the game from quarter time onwards.
Springbank started brightly but failed to keep up with the Demons, who were too tough and too good in the contest.
Among the best for Bungaree were Jason Linke, Matt Sherridan and Scott Mann, while Jesse Galea and Shannon Donegan performed well for the Tigers.
NEWLYN 12.5 (77) d CRESWICK 9.11 (65)
Newlyn have held off a fast finishing Creswick to win the local rivalry by 12 points.
Will Young booted three goals in an impressive performance, while Calvin Pane and Nathan Skewes ran proceedings out of the middle.
Matt Miller was a standout for the defeated Saints.
LEARMONTH 20.10 (130) d CLUNES 11.9 (75)
Learmonth extended it's lead at every change as it swept aside Clunes by 55 points at home.
Brodrick Campbell led the Hotondo Homes Lakies' onslaught with five goals, while coach Brenton Powell (four) led the likes of Nick Bone and Dyson George in a dominant midfield.
For the Pies, youngster Ben Newton (three goals) was terrific at centre-half-forward while, Jayden Hind and coach Jason Hill also booted three goals apiece.
BEAUFORT 21.22 (148) d CARNGHAM-LINTON 2.3 (15)
Beaufort has continued its stellar start to the season with an emphatic 133-point win over Carngham-Linton.
The Saints had a shocker - held scoreless in the last half.
In contrast, the Graintech Crows just got better and better as the game wore on, with Jake Garvey, Jack Duke, Mathew Begbie and Lachlan Pfeifer all shining.
HEPBURN 13.8 (86) d SKIPTON 4.7 (31)
Skipton really took it up to Hepburn.
Burras' Jason Ferraro was repoted in the second quarter.
It took until midway through the third quarter for Hepburn to establish a real gap on their opponents.
Burras' stars were well held for the majority of the match, with Lee Cox bagging three majors.
DUNNSTOWN 10.12 (72) d ROKEWOOD-CORINDHAP 9.4 (58)
Dunnstown set the scene early in its win over Rokewood-Corindhap with a bright opening term, before surging away in the second quarter.
The Emerald Grain Grasshoppers came out after half-time with much better intent, but the damage was already done and Dunnstown held on for a 14-point victory.
Sam Cameron and ruckman Mark Stewart starred for the Daville Building Surveying Towners, while Will Flanagan and Hamish Everett stood up for the Grasshoppers.
Towner Karl Begbie suffered a possible medial ligament injury.
GORDON 70.21 (441) d SMYTHESDALE 1.1 (7)
A 19-goal haul to Steve Nicholson has seen Gordon smash Smythesdale by 433 points.
Despite the colossal loss, Smythesdale started the game well, pressuring the Hyundai Eagles inside the opening 10 minutes.
Throughout the game, skill errors let Smythesdale down.
Mick Nolan kicked 12 goals of his own.
BALLAN 31.20 (206) d DAYLESFORD 3.9 (27)
Ballan looked impressive in its 179-point demolition of Daylesford.
The Blues were in complete control from the opening siren and never looked in doubt.
The Bulldogs had limited chances to score and their inexperience was evident.
Ballan’s Daniel King and Mark Williams, kicked seven and six goals respectively.
Thomas Powell and Liam Murray never gave in for Daylesford.
WAUBRA 10.9 (69) d BUNINYONG 7.11 (53)
Waubra remains unbeaten after grinding to a 16-point win over Buninyong.
An arm-wrestle all afternoon, the Roos broke clear late in the third term, and although the Bombers closed to within eight points early in the final quarter, they did enough to secure the result.
Mark Nunn and Tim Boyle kicked two goals each for the home side, but were both off the field at the end of the game with respective ankle and hamstring injuries, while the versatile Tom Nijam kicked one major was clearly the best player on the ground.
Glen Phelps found the target twice to be the only multiple goal kicker for the Bombers, while joint-coach Jarrod Morgan (one goal) tried hard and was one of the team's standouts in a scrappy and physical game of football.
