The 27-year-old is one of three inclusions for the Roosters’ clash against Footscray Bulldogs at Whitten Oval.
Liam Hoy and North Ballarat Rebel Josh Webster have also been named for the Selkirk Roosters.
Roosters officials had to wait on a last-minute fitness test for Hoy on Thursday night.
Hoy has been sidelined after injuring his coccyx in the clash against Richmond in round four.
As expected, key position utility Bryce Curnow remains sidelined with a shoulder injury. Curnow bagged five goals for the Roosters against Northern Blues last week.
Roosters football manager Marg Richards said Curnow had visited a specialist on Thursday, but did not yet know the extent of the damage.
Josh Webster is also named as the 23rd player on the Roosters’
team.
A half-back flanker, Webster co-captained the Rebels in 2014 and has been in stellar form at TAC Cup level.
Young star Trent Dumont is also out of the side after replacing North Melbourne skipper Andrew Swallow for the Roos’ clash against Fremantle.
Dumont debuted for the Roos earlier this year and was one of the Roosters’ best last week.
Midfield-forward Jono Lanyon should also miss and is expected to line up in Ballarat’s interleague squad, despite being named as an emergency for North Ballarat.
East Point’s Lanyon (East Point) is one of four emergencies for the Roosters expected to play interleague, with Lucas Anderson (Lake Wendouree), Liam Youl (Ballarat) and Jarod Bacon (Redan) the others.
Footscray is well down on the form that saw it claim last year’s VFL flag, sitting in eighth spot with two wins and two losses, despite last week’s dominant 52-point win over Geelong.
The Roosters sit 14th with a 2-3 record.
