With the exception of how much they are being paid, they are all free to say whatever they want about the turbines they live in the midst of.
There are no "gag clauses" in their contracts.
The reason they are not complaining about health effects from their wind farms is because they are not suffering any.
The idea that farmers would stay silent if they thought their health and that of their families was at risk is demeaning to farmers who have exercised their right to use their land in a way that maximises their farm income.
It is the willingness to keep repeating untruths like this that sets anti-wind activists apart from people who have legitimate questions about wind farms. They greatly diminish the quality of the discussion we need to have about how to best make wind farms work for regional communities.
