The competition’s first heat is set to be held on Sunday, with subsequent heats staged in the coming weeks.
Organiser Garry West said contestants had entered from across Victoria and the Ballarat region.
“Everyone is welcome to attend the three-hour show which features singers, musicians and specialty acts of all ages,” Mr West said.
Instead of lasting one day, this year’s event will be split into several heats each comprising of about 20 acts.
Ten locals and 10 performers from around Victoria will each perform one item with first and second place-getters from both sections going straight into the grand final.
Mr West said there were still vacancies for anyone who wished to perform as part of the quest.
Ballarat’s Got Talent will be held at Gold Rush Mini Golf Cabaret Club in Warrenheip. Doors open at noon with music beginning at 1pm. Entry is $10 per person.
The gala grand final event will be held on October 11. For more information, visit ballaratsgottalent.com.au or call Garry West on 5334 1744.
