The Ballarat artist’s new project Fashion for Funerals and Fantasy Eulogies features a multimedia theatrical fashion show of her work.
Pengelly said Fashion for Funerals faced and embraced death and aimed to create a cultural shift in the way people grieve.
“We are all going to die. Let’s talk about it, cry about it, laugh about it, make art about it,” she said.
Made possible through a $15,000 grant from the Regional Arts Fund, the project features 50 cast and crew members from around the region.
Fashion for Funerals will be staged as part of the Nati Frinj Biennale on October 30 and 31. For more information, visit natifrinj.com
