In partnership with St Kilda Mums and Geelong Mums the group has received a top gong from American innovation group Canvas.
Canvas, the global leader in mobile apps for businesses, has chosen the group as the winner of the 2015 ‘Ante Up’ Non-profit of the Year.
The Ante Up Program began in 2012, to encourage Canvas employees to identify a non-profit they are passionate about, and then to support that nonprofit with free Canvas services.
Eureka Mums use Canvas’ app to record all the items they collect and to ensure they meet the required safety standards. Eureka Mums fundraising manager Di Campbell said the group was amazed to receive the award.
“We have been working very hard on innovation and sustainability, that have been core drivers of our business,” Ms Campbell said.
Volunteers enter the brand and code of the item into the app and are immediately notified of any recalls or problems.
