BUNINYONG’S Matt Ray is still realising his dream of being accepted into the Victorian College of the Arts.
The former Ballarat Clarendon College student decided he wanted to study photography at the elite art facility in the last term of year 12 in 2015.
Mr Ray, 19, was accepted into the VCA, a faculty of the University of Melbourne, after completing an application form and interview.
“Studying media in year 12 cemented my passion for photography and has driven me to study it further and make it something more than a hobby,” Mr Ray said.
“I would also say that I am a bit nervous and overwhelmed, but overall I'm stoked and excited to begin this next phase.”
Mr Ray enjoys photographing techniques and ideas not typically used in everyday photography.
