They have recovered the truck but have asked the public for help in catching those who managed to use the Isuzu tray truck to open the gate of the Sutton Street business and get away.
Leading Senior Constable Paul Turner said in a statement a person or people broke into the Sutton Street business anywhere between Wednesday night and Friday morning.
“They managed to gain access to a 1985 Isuzu tray truck...and use its crane to force open a large metal gate,” he said.
“The offenders then drove the truck out of the yard.”
It was found in Newtown, near Scarsdale.
