Police and firefighters attended a car fire at 4am. This is what remains of the car.
Firefighters and police were called to a car fire at 4am on Wednesday morning, to find the car fully engulfed.
The car was dumped on a dirt track off Fortune Street, a few hundred metres from St Francis Xavier Primary School.
The interior of the car has been completely destroyed – with only the metal frames of seats remaining.
The fire shines the spotlight back on the city’s rampant problem with burnt out cars.
A CFA media spokeswoman said crews managed to put a stop on the fire by 4.10am.
Police were called to the scene.
Fire crews from Ballarat and Ballarat City attended.
