GEELONG City has flexed its muscles in Saturday’s preliminary final to earn a spot in the main event.
The club won all four rinks to notch up a 30-shot victory over Queenscliff in Ballarat Geelong premier division, winning 112-82.
Stewart Shuttleworth and his side were the star performers for Geelong City, claiming a dominant 32-16 rink win.
As such, the club will now travel to Ballarat this Saturday to face off against Victoria in the grand final.
Geelong City president Peter McLean said it was terrific result, particularly after a disappointing 87-112 semi-final loss to the Big V.

“We’re pretty chuffed about it,” McLean said.
“The group is a very upbeat, very positive side with players who are great competitors. They’re a pretty switched-on bunch – when they lose, the opposition has to play very well.

“It’s been a pretty slow progression throughout the year, but we’re hoping we are hitting the grand final in top form.”
