ALLERA Bee and Curtis Laurie have got talent.
The 10-year-olds were selected out of 17 recipients to receive Canadian Lead Primary School’s inaugural performing arts scholarship.
The scholarship allows Curtis to attend hip hop dancing classes at Wendouree’s Soul Studio, while Allera does acting, singing and dancing with Gateway Performing Arts Centre.
“I’m so enjoying it. The best thing about it having the opportunity to do it,” Allera said.
“It makes me feel good. It helps me get out of the house. It’s fun as well,” Curtis said.
Canadian Lead Primary School teacher Sally Gregory said the scholarship gave pupils the opportunity to do something they enjoyed.
The school welcomes any support from businesses for next year’s scholarship.
