NORTH Ballarat Rebels laid their hands on silverware and importantly four premiership points in the TAC Cup under-18 football competition on Saturday.
The Rebels and new coach Gerard FitzGerald finally had something celebrate with a 59-point win over Calder Cannons as they claimed the Anzac Cup.
Tall forward Shannon Bek was prominent with a strong markling display for the Rebels.
Midfielders Willem Drew and James Gow were also to the fore in the midfield, while Jordan Johnston kicked two goals on debut.
The Rebels began to stamp their authority on the game with five goals in the third quarter to open up a 31-point lead.
They then repeated the dose in the last term to put the icing on the cake.
The Rebels will play their first home game against Bendigo Pioneers at Eureka Stadium on Sunday.
It is also the annual Ronald McDonald House charity game.
