Fevola and Lake were missing from the WRFL’s final 26-man squad announced on Sunday for the inaugural AFL Victoria Community Championship.
The BFL continued its preparation with a recovery session at St Patrick’s College on Sunday morning.
Head coach Shaun O’Loughlin, in the role for the first time, said he had been pleased with the turn-out of players and their continued commitment.
He said almost every player still under consideration had attended.
Darley star and Henderson Medallist Steven Kennedy was among the few missing.
Kennedy suffered a leg injury in the Devils’ loss to Redan on Saturday.
Darley initially feared it might serious, but O’Loughlin said it was a corky and not too bad.
He said Kennedy remained well in contention to play, depending on how his leg progressed.
Sunbury’s Joe Redfern appears to be the only other squad member under an injury cloud.
He rolled an ankle against Melton South on Saturday night.
O’Loughlin said it was just a matter of seeing how Redfern pulled up in coming days. “He’ll be monitored.”
He said the former Greater Western Sydney Giants rookie had certainly not yet been ruled out.
The BFL squad will train again at Darley on Tuesday night, with the final session at the Eastern Oval on Thursday.
