FOLLOWING on from the recent success of its vintage glamour pool party, Skipton’s Hollywood manor Mooramong will open its doors again on Saturday.
The homestead has a long and illustrious history, including being the home of 1920s Hollywood silent movie actress Claire Adams and her wealthy Australian husband Scobie Mackinnon.
The elegant homestead will be open to the public for a gold coin donation from visitors from 12pm to 4pm.
The house was left to the National Trust in 1978 and remains largely as its owners left it, with visitors able to view photographs, furniture, curios and objets d’art left by the Mackinnons.
On display is the Mackinnon family’s collections of crockery and family-crested glassware. Lunch, Devonshire tea, and hot beverages will be available for purchase.
