Charges laid following Bacchus Marsh murder
Police have charged a man and a woman with murder less than 48 hours after the shooting death of a Bacchus Marsh man.
Homicide Squad detectives, assisted by the Special Operations Group, arrested a 33-year-old Thornbury man at a Thomastown address overnight.
A 26-year-old woman of no fixed address was also arrested late last night.
Both have been charged with murder and will appear in Melbourne Magistrates’ Court today.
The 48-year-old Bacchus Marsh man died on Tuesday morning after being shot in the head.
A manhunt ensued, with police initially searching for a silver SUV which was spotted near the scene.
