THE AUSTRALIAN Welsh Male Choir will visit Ballarat next week with 59 singers promising to create a “magnificent” sound.

The Melbourne-based choir sings in Welsh, English, Latin, African and Russian with a wide repertoire including Welsh classics like Men of Harlech and Calon Lan, popular songs such as You Raise Me Up, songs from Broadway shows, and a variety of hymns.
Formed in 1974, the choir has toured to locations internationally including England, Wales and Ireland in 2015, culminating in a performance at Royal Albert Hall in London.
The choir, which has singers aged between 40 and 90, has also performed twice at the Sydney Opera House and has visited Tasmania twice and toured New Zealand raising money for charity.
The Ballarat performance will be held on Sunday June 12 at 2.30pm at the Neil Street Uniting Church.
