THE Ballarat Rush have had victory snatched from their grasp in the dying seconds of their clash against arch-rivals Bendigo over the weekend, with the Lady Braves succeeding 68-66.
Little could split the two outfits all evening, with neither side able to extend their lead beyond six points at any time during the match.
With the game tied with less-than 30 seconds remaining, Bendigo spearhead Kelly Wilson nailed a jump shot to ensure the home side took the points over Ballarat for the second time this season.
Playing against her former teammates, Rush co-captain Kerryn Harrington led from the front for the visitors with 20 points and five rebounds.
Joy Burke was also influential for the Rush, gathering eight rebounds and shooting 13 points.
At six wins and six losses, the tasks do not get any easier for the Rush as they battle for a finals berth. They will travel to Nunawading next week to face the conference leading Lady Spectres.
