Knowles, a multiple BCA Melbourne Country Week representative, has signed with Geelong outfit Leopold, where he will play in the 2016-17 season.
The all-rounder, who has featured in the past three firsts grand finals with the Bulls, winning the flag in 2014-15, said there wasn’t a set timeframe on his new venture.
“I guess I see it as a great opportunity to further develop my own game and see it as a good challenge as they've had a couple of disappointing seasons in a row on-field,” Knowles said.
“Hopefully with the few guys that they have recruited so far in the off-season, we can all contribute to them moving back up the ladder.”
Leopold finished last season second last on the Geelong Cricket Association division one firsts table.
