Local luthier Nick Carpenter has introduced a two-day course to teach musicians and music enthusiasts how to make their own personalised electric guitar.
Mr Carpenter will run the courses at Wildwood Instruments every weekend for $599, which includes coverage of the materials.
Mr Carpenter said there is a strong contingent of music lovers around the region.
The workshop teaches attendees how to shape and design the head stock, sand, stain and oil the body and install and solder all the electronics.
The course is open to 16-year-olds and above. Bookings are available through the www.wildwoodinstruments.com.au website.
