ACU Sovereigns suffered its third loss in a row in the Victorian Netball League.
The Ballarat Sovereigns fell short in its clash with Boroondara Express Wednesday night losing 60-41.
The sides met in round 9 where Boroondara again reigned supreme to the tune of 12 goals. Sovereigns couldn’t make any inroads a second time around.
In the round 9 clash Express got off to the fast start, taking an 11-5 quarter-time lead and it did similar in the opening 15 minutes of Wednesday night’s match – leading 20-11.
In similar fashion to its round 12 hit-out with Geelong, Sovereigns held firm across the middle two quarters to trail 50-40 at three quarter-time.
Although, Sovereigns fell away in the last quarter to ultimately go down by 19 goals.
In what was always going to be a tall order against one of the best sides in the VNL, Sovereigns continue to show promise throughout matches, but are struggling to find consistency.
