AFL Goldfields landed a big victory in its second and final game of an annual football trip to Queensland.
The under-16.5 team, made up of players from the region’s four competitions, bounced back from Sunday’s loss to AFL Cairns with a 135-point victory over a combined AFL Townsville-MacKay side.
Jesse Taylor led 11 individual goal-kickers for the winners with a bag of five majors, while Corey Wright was named best.
Gordon coach Gary Learmonth led the Goldfields side.
