Lake Wendouree Football Club and the Maryborough Castlemaine District league will create their own piece female football history on Sunday.
The Lakers and MCDFNL will run a three tiered pathway program at Maryborough’s Jubilee Oval.
They will meet in VWFL Goldfields senior division and Ballarat Football League youth girls matches for premiership points, and an under-12 practice game in readiness for the upcoming launch of the new age group.
The under-12 competition starts on Sunday, July 31.
The program is being billed as a full day of “females, football, families and friendships”.
Program: 11am, under-12s; 1.30pm, youth girls; 3pm, seniors
