Sunbury has spiced up the BFNL A grade netball premiership race.
The third-placed Lions inflicted North Ballarat City's second loss of the season at Sunbury on Saturday.
While it does not impact the ladder - East Point and City will finish one-two - Sunbury's 55-49 win opens up the final series.
There was nothing in the Sunbury and North Ballarat encounter early. The Lions grabbed a five-goal break in the second quarter and after extending this to eight in the third it was enough.
With Chloe Curran doing the bulk of the scoring with 37 goals, Prue Stanley, Elly Randall and Kate Fletcher provided the difference around the court for Sunbury.
Lake Wendouree (fourth) came from behind to defeat Sebastopol 61-57. The Burra led by five at quarter time and two a half-time before Lakers made their charge.
