Whittlesea promotion hopes gone
Whittlesea’s poor discipline has cost it a shot at promotion into the NPL premier division.
Whittlesea was one point off the top two coming into the second-last round of the west conference season.
However Saturday’s loss to Ballarat, coupled with North Geelong’s comfortable 3-0 triumph over the Moreland Zebras, means a top two finish is now unattainable.
To make matters worse, Whittlesea will be without three players next week after receiving red cards on Saturday.
