
Ballarat police arrested more than 30 wanted people during an extensive operation over the weekend.
Multiple police carried out Operation Reorder which was focused on the reduction of crime, in particular burglaries, vehicle crime, public order and traffic matters.
The arrests related to armed robberies, aggravated burglaries, burglaries, thefts of and from motor cars, drink driving and other traffic matters.
Police members from Ballarat CIU, Family Violence Unit, Operational Response Unit, Ballarat, Bendigo and Geelong Divisional Response Units, Ballarat Highway Patrol and the K9 worked together to achieve the 31 arrests between Friday and Sunday as part of Operation Reorder.
Police checked over 600 cars during the operation and spoke to over 370 people.
Inspector Greg Payne from the Western Region said the results were outstanding and helped to significantly reduce crime in the Ballarat division as well as removing recidivist offenders from the community.
