Blake Thomson heads a strong contingent of Central Highlands cricket representatives in the Vic Country under-19 team going to the national championships.
State selection is the latest accolade in what has been an impressive start to the 2016-17 season for the East Ballarat export.
He is in his first season as a Victorian Bushrangers rookie, and is coming off an 89 for Victoria in the Cricket Australia Futures League and a maiden Victorian Premier Cricket firsts maiden century with Melbourne.
This is Thomson’s second year in the Vic Country team, having made two centuries on last season's nationals.
Central Highlands is also represented by Jack Lalor (Bacchus Marsh/Northcote), Matthew Milne (Romsey/Carlton) and Matthew Underwood (Gisborne/Footscray-Edgewater).
The 13-man squad will contest the nationals in Adelaide on December 5-15, with the first of five rounds against Western Australia, followed by SA, NT, ACT/NSW Country and NSW Metro.
