The driver of a vehicle that struck two parked cars in Clunes fled the scene, leaving his teenage passenger trapped for more than two hours while emergency services worked to free him, police said.

Police are searching for the driver of the vehicle who fled the collision in Service Street, Clunes just after midnight, before emergency services arrived.
The male teenager passenger was treated by paramedics from 12.30am to 2.30am before he was freed from the vehicle and flown by air ambulance to The Alfred hospital in a critical condition.
An Ambulance Victoria spokesman said he had critical head, back and leg injuries.
Ballarat Senior Sergeant Neale Robinson said police believe the driver was travelling along Station Street when he lost control, hit two unoccupied cars parked along the street. CFA, SES, police and paramedics were called.
“The driver ran from the scene,” Senior Sergeant Robinson said.
“At this stage he is yet to be identified. Investigations are continuing in relation to the identity of the offending driver.”
