
Gone in 60 minutes: car stolen and torched in an hour
Nearly an hour after it was stolen, an Isuzu ute was found engulfed by flames by emergency services in Sebastopol.
Senior Sergeant Neale Robinson said police and firefighters were called to Miles Road, Sebastopol around 3.30am on Sunday.
The ute was engulfed by flames and quickly extinguished by firefighters.
Senior Sergeant Robinson said the car was “completely destroyed”.
“It was stolen from a Central Ballarat address about one hour before it was found,” Senior Sergeant Robinson said.
The CIU and Crime Scene police are continuing investigations.
