Canadian alternative performance artist Peaches last night thrilled the sell-out crowd at this year’s Meredith Music Festival.
Punters braved inclement weather conditions throughout Saturday to see favourites such as Ross Wilson from Daddy Cool and Mondo Rock, the Japandroids, The Congos and Archie Roach.
Peaches is a well-known provocateur and has collaborated with the likes of Iggy Pop, Christina Aguilera, Yoko Ono, Jean-Michel Jarre and REM.
The festival continued on Sunday with Terry, The Breadmakers, Miss Destiny, Judith Lucy, and of course the Meredith Gift – a completely nude sprint around the amphitheatre.
Bannockburn Police Sergeant Craig Grant said while there had been a “few arrests”, with some relating to trespass offences, crowd behaviour in general had been very good.
“It’s been going very well, there’s lovely weather for it, and a good crowd,” he said.
“There were a few arrests, a low number.
“We’re quite happy with the crowd behaviour.”
