Jurcan, a long-time player and committee member with the Bulldogs, died on Sunday morning, aged 35.
His death has shocked many in his local community, in which he owned and operated Istra Smallgoods out of Musk.
DFNC secretary Craig Wade told The Courier Jurcan was "not just a great clubman, but a great person".
Wade posted the news of Jurcan's passing on the club's Facebook page on Monday morning.
"On behalf of the Committee, members, supporters and players both past and present, we send our heartfelt condolences to Ruth, his family and friends," the post read.
The club will open its Victoria Park rooms throughout the week to allow people to grieve and speak with DFNC chaplain Glenn Rowbotham.
"All are welcome to come along to join together as we remember a great person and clubman," the post read.
