Her label Sarsparilly will dress Miss Ballarat Beat 2016 and this year’s pinup competition judge Miss Von Ruby at Ballarat Beat Rockabilly Festival this week.
The dressmaker’s prints include mash ups of Harry Potter, Doctor Who, Pegasus and ponies.
“I love kitsch, I love pop culture, just anything that makes you happy,” Ms Denigan, who now lives in Newcastle, said.
“I want people when you walk down the street go ‘hey I love your print’, all the prints come from that excitement.”
Ms Denigan was drawn to pinup to design true vintage style dresses for all body types.
“A lot of the true vintage dresses are quite tiny but I wanted to do something that was a bit more inclusive.
“I love classic style because the fit and flare style suits any size.”
Ballarat Beat Rockabilly Festival runs from Thursday, February 9 to Sunday, February 12. For a program visit www.ballaratbeat.com.au.
