Carroll will compete in singles, doubles and teams events at the Para Table Tennis World Championships, which is held in Slovakia from May 17 to 20.
Head coach Alois Rosario said he had been pleased with Carroll’s training for the event with Carroll hitting the ball really well.
Carroll has won medals at four National Opens and multiple Australian National Championships, but is yet to secure a World Championships medal.
He said he was looking forward to the event and hoped to bring back gold.
FedUni WestVic Academy of Sport is part of Carroll’s support team.
Executive officer Rob Ward described Carroll as a model athlete, who put everything into his training.
