He will fill the void left by Craig Moller and Sam Short, who are playing exhibition matches in China with their National Basketball League team Melbourne United.
Coenraad played for Ballarat GMHBA Miners as an import in 2012 and in his role as forward averaged 20 points and nine rebounds for the season, earning him the Ray Borner MVP medal.
He arrived in Ballarat on Thursday to attend the team’s Thursday night training session, and will leave Ballarat on Sunday straight after the game.
But Coenraad will make the most of his time in Ballarat speaking to secondary school students about nutrition on Friday.
Short is a possibility to play on Sunday afternoon, with his flight scheduled to touch down on Sunday morning.
